I’ve read Summer Rush several times now, and I’m about to embark on another read (although this time I’m allowed to make notes, slash with red marker, etc). But the thing that has stuck out to me the most – and a comment from B seconded my opinion – was that there was so much left unsaid. I’d read something and then sit back, bewildered. Why didn’t I expand on this?
That is the main thing that needs reorchestration, and will probably take up a big chunk of editing time. It’s funny how much I learned from noticing what wasn’t there.
