I’m Taking a Break

I meant to have the third draft of Summer Rush completed by the end of this month, but you know what? That’s so not going to happen. I have ten days left and twenty-five chapters to go. Eeek. I’m not exactly sure how I fell so far behind.

However it happened, I decided to take advantage of this time after reading this post from Let the Words Flow.

So I’m taking a break for a week just to see what happens. I’m not tired of my novel by any means. But there’s a short story of mine that I want to work on, and there are a couple of writing challenges that I want to do, as well.

I do plan to get this evil third draft done ASAP, though, because my family’s going to be spending a week or two at my grandparents’ house next month, and I don’t want to have to spend a lot of time there writing when I could be hanging with the fam.

This Thursday I’m going to be doing Leader Training at Saddle Up, which I’m kind of nervous about, so wish me luck!

Oh, and I finally have a date for when I’m going to visit Murray State!
