Let’s Talk

I am a writer and a teenager. Contrary to popular belief, writers aren’t solitary (at least not this one!). I can’t speak for all teenagers, but this girl definitely needs lots and lots of interaction with other people, be you writer, non-writer, teenager, my grandmother… you get the picture ^_^

My randomness continues into conversation, so, just a warning, I may leap from talking about books to my love/hate relationship with rain to a funny thing my darling nephew did. I love to talk, and I love meeting new people, so let’s talk!

  1. I have read Summer Rush the first time it was on inkpop and I loved it. I just read the edited chapters you posted, and I must say; wow. The day it gets published, I’m surely buying. You make me want to improve my writing a whole lot more. Thank you for sharing your writing.

    1. You just made my day. My life. I love sharing what I’ve written (sometimes; other times I’m super nervous!), and it makes everything worth it when somebody enjoys it.

Keep on writing! It’s a reward of itself.

        1. I mainly write on the computer, since it makes it ten times easier to edit. But when I’m brainstorming or on the go, I have a fun pink notebook that I like to write in. How about you?

          1. I write mostly on paper since I don’t have a laptop… yet :3 But I agree, it is easier to edit, and faster to write on the computer.

  2. Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know I enjoyed reading your blog. It wasn’t long ago that I was a teen author like you. The good old days 🙂

Best of luck with your novel!

  3. You. Are. Talented. Which makes me wish I am. And you wouldn’t believe the fact of how esctatic I am when I finally found someone closer to my age writing. Keep on writing. =)
p/s. Your blog entry 00:00:01 gave me jitters–I loved the way its creepy and the intensity! was…KaBOOM !!!(pardon the bad technical writing…my vocab’s poor) and it keeps me guessing and practically stewed my brains in serch for answers! Yup, I’m craving for more! Keep it up, gal!

    1. Well, thank you! I’m flattered you think so. But even a quick glance at your poem “I Like Me” shows me that you’re pretty talented yourself. It’s always awesome to meet other writers who are close to my age 🙂

I’m glad you liked 00:00:01 (I really should have given that a better title! haha). It’s an excerpt from my absolute favorite writing project, and I’m pretty fond of it, so it’s nice to know other people like it, too!

      1. Same here. My brain’s frequecy seemed to be working at precisely yours. I couldn’t agree more. Do you think we might be long-lost sisters? Hmmm…its something to think about. ( In case you got spooked out, I’m just kidding!)
By the way, thank you for following my blog…you boost my self-esteem. (p/s. I like to think that you do it for liking my blog…if otherwise, don’t tell me.)
I love ya blog! But i’m such a dumbass that I don’t know how to follow you? Any pointers? Oh, just curious, how come you got different blogs?
        Love ya!

        1. No worries. I don’t spook easily 🙂 I already have like fifty sisters, so what’s a few more in the mix? You’d fit right in with the lot of us, but you’d probably be just a little bit more sane…

I’m enjoying your blog already, especially your post “Satisfaction Is Where You Find It.” I love reading blogs where there’s a little bit of everything – writing and life and even the most random stuff. Oh yes, and I have to thank you, because I was looking at the blogs you subscribe to and saw Flourish in Progress. I love that already!

I’m not sure exactly how you follow a wordpress blog if you’re not on wordpress. I think there’s a subscribe feature around here somewhere that will send updates to your email, but I don’t know where it is. You’d think I would have figured it out after using wordpress for a year.

As for the reason I have different blogs. I started out on Blogger, and I really liked it. Then a friend of mine switched to wordpress, and it seemed so much more streamlined that I ended up switching, too. I still have my Blogger for sentimental reasons. I don’t really use it anymore.

  4. I thought of you when I found this:

    “Call for Submissions—Young Writers

If you are a teenager currently enrolled in high school, grades 9-12, Crashtest, the new online literary magazine for high school writers, would like to hear from you! Crashtest publishes poetry, stories and creative non-fiction in the form of personal essays, imaginative investigation, experimental interviews, or whatever else you would like to call it. We’re looking for writing that has both a perspective and a personality. We’re looking for authors who have something to say. Please go to http://www.crashtestmag.com for complete guidelines.”

    1. Thanks for thinking of me, Nadia, but I’m way too old! Haha. Not old, actually, just that I graduated high school in 2010. I’ve passed it on to all my high school friends though, so thanks for sharing!
